High availability
You can link two SonicWALLs together, running in hot standby mode. Should the "master" unit fail for any reason, the standby unit detect this and automatically takes over without any user intervention. This is an ideal configuration if you are running mission critical applications, or if your Internet connectivity is crucial to your organization.

Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
SonicWALL offers IPsec standard box-to-box VPN, or client-to-box VPN (see below). Bob-to-box lets you set up a secure tunnel between branch offices or to partner sites. All traffic over the tunnel is encrypted to prevent eavesdropping or tampering with your data.
