Mailing list for academics using our books as course texts

By mid Nov-2010 we will have a dedicated mailing list for teachers who are using our books as recommended texts for their courses. This is to facilitate the exchange of ideas, information, assignment materials, problems and solutions, etc., and avoid re-inventing wheels. The list is restricted to bona-fide teachers with academic email addresses -- your subscription must be approved by the list moderator.

Desk/inspection copies

Below are the procedures for professors and other teachers requesting desk or inspection copies with a view to using our books in courses.

Desk copies - North America

Desk copies - Rest of the World

For books where the full text is available free online for non-commercial use our policy is:

• We do not supply free desk copies in advance.
• If your campus bookstore has sold more than 10 copies for a particular course, they can send us a copy of the supplier invoice from our official supply channels, the lecturer name and e-mail address, the course name/number, and size of enrolment, and we will provide a free desk copy for the lecturer's use.

For all our books, whether available free online for personal use, or not:

• We provide books for course adoption examination at 50% off list price. Order via Contact Us link at the top of the page. Payment is by PayPal only. Send us the lecturer name and e-mail address, the course name/number, and size of enrolment.
• Limit 1 copy per title.
• Maximum of 3 different titles (1 copy of each) may be ordered at any one time and qualify for the discount.
• Later on, if your campus bookstore has sold more than 10 copies for a particular course, they can send us a copy of the supplier invoice from our official supply channels, the course name/number, and size of enrolment, and we will repay you the original discounted purchase amount via PayPal.

All payments and refunds are via Paypal. Unfortunately, if you cannot pay us (and for refunds, have a PayPal account that lets people make payments to you) via PayPal, we can't process the transaction. That is a condition of the discounted desk copy offer.
